This event has been bringing the neighborhood together for 16 years. Over the years, the neighborhood has changed, and the city has too, but the core concept of the festival is the same:
Celebrate the artists and businesses who make this place home. The inaugural Art & Soul of South End started in 2002 as a grassroots festival produced by the galleries and businesses on the 1500 block of Camden Road. This year, Art & Soul will take over Camden Road on Saturday, May 12th, 11am – 6pm, for a free festival that celebrates craft, creativity and community throughout South End. There will be demonstrations and opportunities to meet artists, makers and chefs, crafts and activities from neighborhood businesses, music and dance.

The festival is on the 1600 & 1700 blocks of Camden Road, between Park Ave and West Boulevard.

How to get there:
Take the light rail to East-West Station, or hop on a bike – Charlotte Bcycle will operate a bike valet station on Camden for anyone who comes by bike.
Parking:
Parking is available at the Design District parking deck at 240 Doggett Street, in the surface lot at Worthington and Camden, and on-street throughout South End.
Who is coming? Shop the works of more than 60 artists and craft artisans, listen to live music on two stages, explore the businesses of South End, try your hand at something creative, or take a free fitness class.
