Beginning at 7pm, come celebrate the end of Year!  Live music and a variety of activities and performances. CLT New Year’s Eve remains an alcohol-free, family-friendly and free event. Count down to the new year with fireworks and the raising of the Queen City Crown!

Lucky’s Bar & Arcade

Uptown, 8 p.m., $66

An open bar and a Champagne toast here will only set you back $66. A DJ will also be on site to play music as you drink from the open bar and play video games to ring in 2019.

Uptown, 9 p.m., $44

The Ritz Carlton’s 7,000-square-foot ballroom takes the stage in this ultra-fancy party. Your ticket includes passed appetizers, a photo booth and access to multiple bar stations.

Billed as the “official” Charlotte New Year’s Eve party, this event features two levels of entertainment, two DJs, party favors, a photo booth and appearances by the Carolina Panthers’ TopCats. VIP tickets, which cost an additional $95, also include an open bar.

The city’s official New Year’s Eve Party is at South Tryon Street and Levine Avenue for the Arts. The free festivities include a DJ, live music, lighting of the Queen City crown and midnight fireworks.

At this James Bond-themed all-inclusive party, partygoers can choose between a martini and Champagne bar and another bar that serves unlimited beer, wine and liquor drinks. The party also features passed appetizers and a late-night buffet.

• Bojangles’ Coliseum

East Charlotte, 8:30 p.m., $76+

One of the most highly anticipated shows of the season, Concord-born American folk rock band The Avett Brothers returns to Charlotte to ring in the New Year at Bojangles’ Coliseum. The two-night show comes after a historical run for the band, whose critically acclaimed documentary “May It Last: A Portrait of The Avett Brothers” and Grammy-nominated album “True Sadness” have, this year, put them on the map.
